Well, I was overcome by events for November here is December’s recording. Last minute recording with just one take for better or worse.

I finally got to play during the break with the Yesterday Swing Orchestra a big band that I run sound for out of Winchester, VA. I didn’t have a lot of time to play but I managed to fit three songs in. I got a little distracted at the end of the last tune as folks from the band were asking me questions as they were getting ready to start back up. It was a lot of fun and I look forward to being able to do it some more in the future. Here is a recording of my performance:

OK, i admit it. I am a sucker for Burt Bacharach tunes. I am very happy with this month’s recording for a number of reasons but first and foremost because it was a one-take recording. So here is:

It has been awhile since I have recorded. I have been working on a new song that has really struck a chord with me.

To be perfectly honest, this was never one of my favorites. I am a part time sound engineer for a big band and they do this and I have grown to like it. Now I can say with almost certainty, that this is one of my favorite recordings. I felt a great amount of creative freedom on this one.
